MartinGroup Identity + Design announces the re-design and launch of Tommy Thayer's official website. Tommy Thayer is lead guitarist for the legendary and internationally known rock band, KISS. Thayer, a 20-year contributing member of the KISS family, replaced Ace Frehley in 2003 as the band's lead guitarist. Since that time, the band has continued touring and releasing new concert DVDs, with Thayer clad in the "Spaceman" character makeup.
MartinGroup structured and completely re-designed the new site to allow for better organization of content and incorporation of new features into the heavily-trafficked site, while enhancing the overall appearance through better alignment of Thayer's brand image.
Eric Martin, Principal and Creative Director of MartinGroup describes the process:
"We worked directly with Tommy, to better understand the specific and ongoing needs of the site. Once we had this (understanding), we developed flow charts and drafted mock-up pages for presentation. Upon approval, our team converted the design into strict web-standards code, populated the content and launched the site. We have a very refined process, which helps tremendously in keeping the momentum of the projects we are involved with."
"We have actually worked with Tommy Thayer for the last couple of years, primarily providing graphic support. Now, we have created a streamlined infrastructure for his website that enables us to maintain and continually update his content in a super-efficient manner. The new site is highly flexible, rather than being overly flashy with rich-media."
